		Terra Nova National Park protects 400 sq. kilometers of boreal forest & scenic coastline It is also the Protected Area for the endangered Newfoundland Marten There are exhibits & audiovisual presentations of the area’s plant & animal life

	Take the Terra Nova National Park Boat Tour to see eagles & icebergs (20 minutes from By d’Bay Cabins)


	Boat the waters of Clode Sound or Newman Sound. There are many remote park sites for boaters


	At the Terra Nova National Park Marine Interpretation Center you can rent kayaks (lessons given) or visit the Touch Tank (20 minutes from By d’Bay Cabins)


	Here you can kayak, canoe, or boat from sheltered bays to breathtaking coastlines, amongst whales, seabirds, and icebergs. Dense forests, marshes, and green meadows wait to be explored along 14 extensive and beautiful hiking trails.

	Sandy Pond offers kayak & canoe rentals & a beautiful sandy fresh water beach (15 minutes from By d’Bay Cabins)

During Winter there is Cross-Country Skiing and Snowshoeing.

Sandy Pond & Newman Sound Campground are groomed for both.
They also have enclosed cook shelters with firewood. in both areas
